Amateur Outdoor Photo Contest Prize
There will be one amateur outdoor photo contest winner selected. Many will enter, only one will win. That could be YOU! Provided you meet the contest requirements and follow all of the specified rules below, the winner will receive a complimentary 2-night stay for 2 people at Brookside Mountain Mist Inn Bed and Breakfast in Waynesville, North Carolina. This includes breakfast for 2 each morning. Enjoy our mountain views and close proximity to Asheville.
Amateur Photo Contest Requirements
- Winners must be 21 years or older and live in the continental United States.
- Only amateur photographers can enter (not professionals who earn money as a photographer).
- Dates: Your photo can be submitted starting on May 16, 2022 and ending July 31, 2022.
- Any entry submitted before or after those dates will not be considered.
- Only one photo per person can be submitted. The photo submitted must be your own image.
- Must include your amateur outdoor photo, your first and last name, your location, and your e-mail address.
- You may include a brief reason (10 words or less) why your photo should be selected as the winning photo.
- By entering the contest, you agree to:
- Let us share your first name (and the first letter of your last name), as well as your location.
- You attest that this is your own photo, and you consent to us sharing your photo online.
- Receive our e-newsletter.
- The winner’s complimentary stay expires if not used within one calendar year.
Amateur Outdoor Photo Contest Judging
- Brookside Mountain Mist Inn Bed and Breakfast will appoint 3 local leaders who live here in Waynesville, North Carolina to serve as judges.
- Thus, it is decided by 3 members of our local community, not the owners of Brookside Mountain Mist Inn Bed and Breakfast.
- The decision made by the 3 local judges will be final.
How to Enter Our Amateur Outdoor Photo Contest
- Please read (to ensure you qualify to enter) and abide by the Photo Contest Rules as stated above.
- Your entry is automatically invalid if you do not comply with all the Photo Contest Rules.
- Select the best photo to share (since only one photo per person can be submitted).
- Email your own photo to ([email protected]) between May 16, 2022 and July 31, 2022
- You must specify your first and last name (even if it is in your email address).
- State your (continental) United States city and state location. Residents of Alaska and Hawaii are excluded.
- Optional: include a brief reason (10 words or less) why your photo should be selected as the winning photo.

- You can revoke your consent to receive emails at any time by using the SafeUnsubscribe® link, found at the bottom of every email.
Sharing Photo Entries and Winner Notification
- We have the right to share your submitted image on our social media at any time.
- Images we share on social media does not mean your image has won.
- We must wait until ALL entries have been received at the end of July 31, 2022 midnight.
- Then our panel of 3 local judges will decide.
- We will announce the winner online and share their picture on our website, blog, social media, and email.
- We will also notify the winner directly via the email address they provided.
- Failure to follow all of our rules results in immediate disqualification from winning.
